We use state-of-the-art infrared imaging, hygrometers, moisture meters and temperature sensors to determine the extent of the damage. Water extraction or pumping, if required, will typically be done concurrently with the initial assessment. Selective demolition may occur while the project planning takes place.
Most initial steps include structural drying to ensure that whatever has affected the building has stopped. Daily moisture readings will be taken from the ambient air, and analysis of structural elements will ensure we achieve our baseline. Through psychometric calculations, we will be sure to have the correct amount of drying equipment on site and will continue to work toward returning your property to pre-loss condition.
Throughout the process, we conduct moisture mapping to establish target or baseline moisture levels by testing similar structural components in unaffected building areas. The daily readings are compiled into software that provides real-time reports to help us determine the effectiveness of our drying efforts. The same reports provide insurance carriers necessary information to determine that we have adequately dried your structure.
